Introduction

Ginkgo, also known as maidenhair tree, is a rare plant of the Ginkgoaceae family and the Ginkgo genus. It is a Chinese specialty. It grows in natural forests at an altitude 

of 500-1000 meters in acidic and well-drained areas. It is cultivated in gardens in Korea, Japan, Europe and the United States. The seeds are edible, but they contain 

ginkgolic acid, which is toxic, so do not consume them in excess. The seeds and leaves are rich in flavonoids and can be used as medicine. They are traditional 

Chinese medicinal materials.
